GNS introduces premium AIS tracking in Voyager Fleet Insight

From 1 June subscribers to the Navigation Management service in Voyager FLEET INSIGHT will benefit from live vessel position data updated every 10-minutes.

GNS announced today that Voyager FLEET INSIGHT Navigation Management service now includes premium AIS position data for improved situational awareness and decision support on shore.

Previously, vessels’ AIS positions were updated hourly across all Voyager Fleet Insight subscription options. Now, with the introduction of the new premium service, Navigation Management subscribers will benefit from enhanced AIS coverage with vessel positions updated at 10-minute intervals. Subscribers will see the higher frequency tracking throughout Voyager FLEET INSIGHT including the landing page as well as in the Tracking and Wallboard modules.

“We’re excited to be able to make our Voyager Fleet Insight service even better with the introduction of premium AIS position data and further support operational activities ashore. We’ve introduced this latest feature in response to user feedback. It’s part of our continuous development programme that is providing an increasingly rich user experience for our customers.” said Hayley van Leeuwen, GNS’s Director of Product and Marketing.

At the same time GNS has introduced two new options in its Tracking module; Detailed Positions tracking now enables users to quickly see vessel tracking for the last 24, 48 and 72 hours displaying up to 6 positions per hour and Recent Positions which is a quicker way to view the last 48 hour track for each vessel in a fleet.

The new premium AIS feature is free of charge to all subscribers to Voyager FLEET INSIGHT Navigation Management and GNS’s Voyager Navigation as a Service as well as qualifying GNS’s Voyager Fixed Price Bundles.

Voyager FLEET INSIGHT, GNS’s online vessel tracking, navigational compliance and cost management service, debuted in October 2018. A free level of service provides hourly vessel tracking, vessel information, navigation subscription and inventory management, navigation compliance management and Port State Control inspection histories. Users can also upgrade to a Navigation Management subscription in order to access AIS tracking at 10 minute intervals, view historic trading patterns, navigational usage analysis, port call data and a wallboard feature that provides continuous display of live vessel positions on large screen in Operations centres and reception areas.
