IMPORTANT INFORMATION: COVID-19 Impact on Air Freight Charges

We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and, as you are aware, have put measures in place to ensure we continue to provide global 24/7 service and support to enable our customers’ fleets to keep moving day and night.
Regrettably, we must advise you that the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is now impacting air freight capacity, which in turn is increasing the cost of moving paper nautical charts and publications from the European producers including British Admiralty, IMO and ITU into the Asia Pacific region.
It is, therefore, necessary to apply a surcharge to all ad-hoc shipments despatched from our Singapore office from Monday 4 May. Please note: This surcharge will not apply to fixed price bundle and Voyager Navigation as a Service (NaaS) customers.
The surcharge will be determined by taking the average freight rate / kilo in the last month less our contracted rate and applying this with the weight of each package supplied. It will appear on your invoices as “COVID-19 TRANSPORT SURCHARGE”.
