Voyager Worldwide partners with maritime seafarer charity, The Mission to Seafarers

Global maritime company Voyager Worldwide has teamed up with The Mission to Seafarers to help deliver support to seafarers around the world.

Seafarers play a crucial role within the maritime industry. They help keep the global economy afloat – even during the pandemic when it became all too clear just how hard life as a seafarer can be.

As a Group our commitment is to provide the best navigation solutions to ensure vessels navigate more safely and with less risk. As an organisation we wanted to work closely with a charity that plays a key role in our vision and The Missions to Seafarers was exactly that. They’re a charity that support seafarers with the array of issues they may encounter while at sea, including providing services that promote mental health and wellbeing. These subsequently help to maintain a safety-first mindset.

The Mission is a global organisation that works in over 200 ports across 50 different countries providing support to over 1.5 million crewmen and women who face challenges every day. This charity has presence in many of the countries in which we operate in and as a global organisation ourselves, this will provide support to our customers’ employees who might potentially benefit from this now, or in the future.

Life at sea can be lonely, being away from families for months at a time can be tough, this charity meets very real needs and changes lives for the better. Through a global network of chaplains, staff and volunteers, the Mission offers practical and emotional support to seafarers through drop-in centres, ship-visits and more.

We are grateful to be partnering with The Mission to Seafarers in helping to support this worthy charity and plan to continue to help raise donations through our CSR initiatives within Voyager Worldwide. For further information about this charity, click here.
