It contains a tank cleaning cross table, which provides cleaning guidelines for more than 400 bulk liquid cargoes. Tank cleaning procedures are listed for some 170,000 previous to next cargo combinations.

The 11th edition features a new FROM:TO cleaning section, which makes finding cleaning procedures easy and convenient. With the help of a database and dedicated software, this edition includes clickable letter indexes to quickly navigate to the correct cargo to be cleaned.

The cargoes in this guide have been selected from the products listed in the IBC Code and in the HM (Hydrocarbon Management) 50 Guidelines of the Energy Institute.

ECDIS Procedures Guide Volume 1 has been significantly updated to reflect all the latest software, hardware, documentation, PSC/audit skill gaps, and best practice procedures in ECDIS navigation. It contains all ECDIS navigation principles, standards, documentation compliance and PSC preparation. All recommendations are designed to accompany a ship’s safety management system (SMS).

Type Specific Information Volume 2 introduces Type Specific ECDIS Quick Reference Guides. These enable navigators to quickly identify the differences between systems, and improve familiarisation. A brand-new checklist to maintain system performance and hardware, including all new 2022 legally required hardware options, has been created and included.

The IMDG Code lays down basic principles: detailed recommendations for individual substances, materials and articles, and a number of recommendations for good operational practice, including advice on terminology, packing, labelling, stowage, segregation and handling, and emergency response action.

Volume 2 contains part 3 (Dangerous Goods List, special provisions and exceptions), appendices A and B (generic and N.O.S. Proper Shipping Names, and glossary of terms) and an index.

LPG Shipping Suggested Competency Standards (2nd Edition)

These standards are useful for all types of LPG carriers, regardless of size, and are relevant for all types of LPG cargo operations. This includes traditional cargo transfer operations at berth, ship-to-ship transfer operations and LPG carriers with LPG fuel systems. It is the responsibility of the owner to decide the level and type of training required, as part of a formal competence management system.

This new document updates and replaces the previous edition LPG Shipping Suggested Competency Standards (2008).

It is suitable for all classes of ship.This new edition has been fully revised to incorporate the latest guidance and practical advice for ships transiting the region, with reference to high vigilance areas, Straits Pilot Services, TSS and VTS information. It also includes a tidal streams supplement booklet containing high quality diagrams to provide mariners with information about the tidal conditions they are likely to encounter during their transits through the Straits.The Guide illustrates areas where high vigilance is required and lists the pre-emptive measures that should be taken by the ship. These areas have been revised and expanded, with input from the pilots who regularly navigate these challenging areas, to include the area around Muda Selatan. Also included are a number of case studies that examine the causes of various groundings and collisions in the Straits.
