New improvements on how vessels' routes are managed in VFI
We’ve made some improvements on how vessels’ routes are managed in Voyager Fleet Insight to make it easier to identify vessels’ current routes and monitor vessels from shore.
VFI Route module is now cleaner and simpler to use.
- Automatically identifies the Current Route using the Destination and ETA from the vessel’s AIS transmitter. Any irrelevant or duplicated routes are no longer displayed.
- Where a number of possible Current Route options exist, these are now clearly shown as a list in the Routes module to enable you to simply select which one you wish to use.
- Departure time and waypoint ETAs are also now being automatically adjusted based on each vessel’s actual movements.
The result is a much clearer view of each vessel’s Planned and Current Routes and an easier way to monitor vessel progress against the Current Route in VFI’s Home, Routes and Plus modules.
Also, any routes planned using VFI’s new Route Plan module can be Saved and will appear in the Route Library clearly flagged as VFI Routes to make it easier to view, re-use, edit or simply refer back to the routes you plan. Please note that, to access the Save a Route feature, you must first select a vessel.
