Addition of new solutions in Voyager HUB expand the services available to GNS customers

GNS has announced the latest release of its Voyager HUB solution which has been expanded to include risk management and cyber security solutions for onboard use.

This latest release includes three new tools for on board use:

• The Risk Intelligence Marisk and Portrisk services
• Be Cyber Aware at Sea’s Maritime Cyber Security Awareness Course
• Guide to Cyber Security

Risk Intelligence 

• MaRisk and PortRisk from Risk Intelligence provide the maritime security intelligence needed to plan and execute maritime operations within shipping, offshore, oil & gas activities. All data within the system is carefully collected, analysed and systematically assessed by Risk Intelligence’s team of analysts.
• Customers may select both MaRisk and PortRisk as one integrated solution or subscribe to only one.
• MaRisk and PortRisk are web applications. Users click a web link in Voyager HUB to access the services.

Maritime cyber security awareness training

• This cyber security awareness programme from Be Cyber Aware at Sea is an MCA recognised Computer Based Training product that has been specifically designed and developed for the Maritime and Offshore industries to develop an understanding and awareness of the emerging cyber threat.
• Users click a web link in Voyager HUB to access the training. Users will need to be connected to the internet to access and complete the course.
• The Maritime Cyber Security Awareness Course costs € 90.00. Users of Voyager HUB can pay to access the course using a credit card. Shipping companies may also buy access vouchers for the crew members that they wish to complete the course.

Guide to Cyber Security

GNS has also produced a practical Guide to Cyber Securityto help customers deal with the growing risk of cyber crime. This free paper which has been written by GNS’s own maritime security expert, Ian Millen,includes a simple, memorable 3i Cyber Security Framework which has been designed to help GNS customers both improve understanding of cyber security and develop best practice. The White paper is located within the training section of Voyager HUB.

Voyager Hub is an onboard software platform which enables shipping companies to select and control the applications vessels access. HUB applications are maintained via the same secure connection to make onboard processes simpler. Information from Voyager HUB is shared between ship and shore and accessed by ship managers via GNS’s Voyager FLEET INSIGHT customer portal.GNS customers can add their own applications to created a  single platform for all onboard applications.
